She has the two main characters together, alone, tension building, and then ends the scene, picking up the next day. The question gets resolved pretty early, but the culmination of the relationship, as other reviewers point out, happens And Singh uses another writing technique that I found strange. But apparently she used all her ideas for tension in the relationship in previous books, because this had none of the give-or-take, will she/he or won't she/he storyline. I was looking forward to Kiss of Snow based on the buildup in the previous books of the relationship between Hawk and Sienna. In fact, I haven't read several of the books based on the reviews because I don't want to read another "miss". The story Mine to Possess was one of the "miss" books. In fact, I consider Play the strongest of all her books. The three that come to mind are Branded by Fire, Caressed by Ice, and Play of Passion. Her strongest books have been the ones where there is a strong understandable impediment to the characters' relationship, and she allows the plot to work out those differences. I have found Singh's books to be hit-or-miss.
